Baby K'Tan in Black
Let me start off by saying I own slings, wraps, carriers, an extra pair of hands...so I have a wide experience with the many ways to hold your baby! I purchased the Baby K'tan when my daughter was about 2 months old. I had seen a few recommendations online and despite a few warnings about sizing mishaps I crossed my fingers, held my breath and clicked ORDER...
...and not only was I able to breathe a huge sigh of relief but I've never been more satisfied. I am 5'3" and around 125-130lbs. I ordered the small and it fits perfectly. It has neither stretched to the point where I feel it is too loose nor has it tightened up uncomfortably after washing. I throw it on before I get in the car or after I arrive at my destination without worry of long fabric dragging on the ground or wasting time wrapping and tying, snapping and clicking, adjusting and altering.
My daughter is almost 8 months now and she still loves every moment being K'Tan-ed. She has always wanted to face out and the way the fabric creates a seat that goes from knee to knee keeps her comfortable. She cries when I put her in a sling or other wraps. It is so easy to pop her in and slide the second panel over my shoulder and secure her in. Every once in a while she gets tired and I have faced her in towards me and continued shopping while she snoozed away. I occasionally clip a few lightweight toys on the side so she has something to play with if she gets bored people watching and giving strangers "the eyebrow".
This beginner's "wrap" is so appealing, countless strangers who have come up and asked what I had the baby in and where they could get one. I happily answer, "It's the Baby K'Tan and you order it online." I am able to shop alone, fill up the cart, load it on the conveyor belt, pay, and load the car easily and freely. It is so nice to be able to use both hands and feel assured that my daughter is safe and secure. She has never come close to falling out or slipping. She stays in place and has lots of freedom of movement.
I have shopped with Charlie in the Baby K'Tan for over an hour and had no back ache or any other pain associated with strapping on a 16lb baby. I can use this product alone and have no issues putting my daughter in or taking her out of it. I was able to purchase my Baby K'Tan for $44 which I find highly reasonable. So not only am I thoroughly satisfied with this product, I highly recommend it to new parents, seasoned parents, and every else in between.

Yay first to comment :) I've been looking for a front facing carrier because I only have the Moby for now. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou can front face in the Moby, too, but I find the Baby K'tan much easier to use. I also think baby is more comfortable with the "seat" it has and I haven't been able to make it with the Moby wrap, it would bunch in her crotch. :)
